Bible Study Class – The Bible Study class will embark on a 27 week journey with the video curriculum That the World May Know. This study weaves together historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts while walking through the Holy Land. The video host is Ray Vander Laan. Facilitators: Allie King and Jack Williams
S.A.S.S. Class – During the month of December this class, led by Claudine Andress, will study Ecclesiastes. Starting in January the class will be tackling What the Bible is All About by Henrietta Mears. What the Bible is All About gives a clear concise overview of the Bible. The book gives valuable background information, underscores the main themes of the Bible and highlights principle characters.
Men’s Class – The men’s class is full of lively conversation and discussion. Joe Davis leads this class on a journey through Scripture that highlights putting faith into action. They will be exploring the new curriculum Feasting on the Word produced by John Knox Press.
Pathfinders Class – Rev. Bob and Barbara Farrow, and Joyce Pannone rotate teaching this class of mature members. It is a lecture/discussion based class that uses The Present Word curriculum is published by the Presbyterian Church (USA).The next quarter will focus on God establishing a covenant with His people. This study of God’s covenant community brings clarity of purpose and resolve to our community of faith. They enjoy worshiping God through singing, study and fellowship in their classroom.

January 2012 – May 2012
In January new classes will form and will teach Feasting on the Word curriculum, We will be reorganizing Sunday School to the benefit of everyone’s Christian Education. We will keep in mind that most of you formed bonds in your B90 groups and there are some that would like to return to their previous groups. There will be two to three new classes, due to interest, starting Jan. 8th at 9:45 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. The facilitators will be Bill Donley, Scott Sasser, Lynne DeVault, Carol Turner, Karen Kennedy, and a few more. We will continue the coffee and breakfast time in January.
Feasting on the Word – This would be a great follow up to the Bible in 90 Days. The curriculum will engage you in a deeper exploration of Biblical texts, while challenging you to put your faith into action and grow in Biblical understanding. It is a Lectionary based curriculum. Which means, we will be studying one of the four Scripture passages that Pastor Julian and Bonnie use to develop the worship service. Through this, education and worship will mutually support each other.
Inquirer’s Class – Starting January 15th this class for those who are interested in our church and in new membership. It is a time for Pastor Julian to explain and discuss what Presbyterians believe. It is also a time to answer questions that the class members may have about faith. If you are interested in this study please contact Pastor Julian or the church office (626-1242). Class will be in the Chapel.
Wednesday afternoon opportunity:
Short-term Disciple class will be offered starting January 11th from 1:00 p.m. till 2:30 p.m. Lynne DeVault will facilitate the class as they study and explore the Book of Romans. At the end of this 8 week study you will have a more informed commitment to Paul’s radical vision of God’s relationship to both Christians and Jews and to their relationship to each other, thanks to the "love of God in Christ Jesus."
