Each one should give as you have made up your mind; not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
At Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, we believe that our entire lives are an offering to God. We know that Jesus offered himself for the life of the world.
When we give, its not from a posture of guilt, it is a joyful response to the redemption we have in Christ.
Set free by his grace, we offer Jesus our lives, our spiritual gifts, and our material goods so that the Church can continue in its mission.
Prayer Shawl Dedication Sunday (above). Members of SFPC knit and crochet prayer shawls throughout the year. The prayer shawls are held, worshipped with, prayed with, and taken up during the offering time. Then, we dedicate the prayer shawls to God's glory and invite the people to take one as they depart the sanctuary to give away to someone who needs a reminder of God's unending love. It is a simple, yet profound, act of offering our full selves to God.
